Coherence is a key concept for text comprehension and text clarity. The feature that contributes to coherence is among others the fullness of paragraph development. The current study is about the completeness of paragraph development of professional writings of Indonesian writers found in The Jakarta Post. The purpose of the study is to find out the completeness of paragraph development of professional writings by Indonesian writers. This information may be taken into consideration for developing English teaching materials to Indonesian learners, especially for teaching Advanced Writing. The study is descriptive and qualitative in nature. The data of the study are 7 professional writings taken from The Jakarta Post. The research results show that 5 texts (71%) have problems with paragraphs development, while 2 texts (29%) do not have problems with paragraphs development. It means that Indonesian advanced writers have problems in developing complete paragraphs in English. Based on the research findings, it is suggested that the material of Fullness of paragraph development needs emphasis and more time allotment in teaching Advanced Writing. Although the students have learned how to construct complete paragraphs when they were at the intermediate level, actually they still find problems in constructing full paragraphs.
